Tailored project performance analysis, based on real data.

Analysis of project performance is at the heart of the Performance Forum. Benchmarking allows you to compare your estimated or actual data against an industry or peer group trend based on real data, on a like-for-like basis.

By determining areas of underperformance, you can establish a strategy for future improvements to save cost and time. We provide benchmarking services at every stage of your project, from early assess estimates through to close-out results at end of execution. Once field production is in decline, a similar gated project timeline can be used within the decommissioning phase of the project, whether it be for facilities preparation for removal or reuse.

Our standard library of metrics allows for easy comparison between projects

Our benchmarking service allows you to select which metrics you would like your project measured against, taken from our standard library of over 1000 metrics.

We can advise you on metrics that will best highlight areas of strong performance and metrics highlighting where improvements can be made.

We also offer benchmarking services for clients who are not members of the Performance Forum. Due to the strict confidential nature of our database we can only benchmark non-members against own past project performance and are unable to benchmark against the industry or a peer group trend.

We provide best-in-class cost, schedule, technical and project complexity metrics to provide in-depth analysis at the required level of detail for reliable project assurance

We help you answer questions such as:

  • Is our estimated cost realistic and achievable?
  • Are there project characteristics that could blow the budget?
  • Could we be doing this project faster and with fewer man-hours?
  • Did our last project meet sanction budget, and what can we learn from past experience?
  • Where should we fabricate the facilities?
  • Are there regional cost savings to be found?
  • How does my completed project’s performance measure against my peers?
  • What can we learn from others?
